    Description
    5 hours per week (full-time).
    ~ Based at St Mark's Hospital, Maidenhead.
    ~ Physiotherapist with an interest in developing skills to support children and young people.
    ~ You will be supported by an experienced team of Paediatric Physiotherapists to develop your skill set and autonomy in working with children and young people.
    ~ You will need to be enthusiastic, demonstrate that you have excellent communication and people skills, and have an understanding of the diverse needs of children and young people.
    ~ Any experience of working with children and young people is essential, whether as part of student placement or out of work activities.

    This role will be ideal for a Physiotherapist with an interest in developing skills to support children and young people with developmental and neurological conditions.

    Identify relevant therapy needs from which you can develop and deliver an individualised management plan, with support from a senior therapist as needed.

    Contribute to and deliver training to schools/early years setting, parents, CYP and staff, as part of therapy support and delivery.

    Contribute to the implementation and development of the impact-based model of clinical decision making.

    Work collaboratively with education, local authority, medical and nursing staff to ensure delivery of a coordinated integrated service along with Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy colleagues.

    Education/Qualifications/Training
    Post graduate clinical experience in providing children's physiotherapy

    Continuous Professional Development
    Recognised CPD in relevant Children's therapy interventions

    Student Placement in Paediatrics or experience in working with children

    Experience of evaluating and managing a range of neuro-development, neuro-orthopaedic, neuromuscular conditions

    Evidence of a value system which puts the child at the heart of actions
    Able to demonstrate an understanding of paediatrics and the diverse needs of children and young people in a broad sense
    Understanding of the English Education System
    Evidence of an understanding and application of Care Planning approaches, and evidence of a belief in its value
    Car Driver with access to own car and willingness to work across Berkshire, as required
    Able to work with children and young people who may have behavioural challenges and learning and/or physical difficulties

    Able to demonstrate a clinical knowledge and familiarisation with a range of standardised and non-standardised assessment tools relevant to physiotherapy interventions
