    Are you an experienced Vehicle Painter/Prepper looking for a new challenge? Join us at Steer Automotive Group as a Paint Technician at our Leicester site

    As a Vehicle Paint Technician with Steer Automotive Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and precision of our vehicle painting processes, making certain that all vehicles leave our workshop looking as good as new. You'll be responsible for carrying out high-volume repairs to BSI PAS 10125 standards.

    Key responsibilities:
    • Running our state-of-the-art spray booth to achieve flawless paint finishes.
    • Ensuring that vehicles are properly masked and prepared to meet our exacting standards.
    • Mixing and matching paint colours with precision and accuracy.
    • Applying paint to damaged areas with precision and attention to detail, blending paint seamlessly to achieve flawless finishes.
    • Inspecting painted surfaces thoroughly for quality and consistency, to ensure they are ready for refit.
    • Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and organised and that all work is carried out in line within health and safety guidelines and regulations.
    • Working as part of the team to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
    About You

    The successful candidate will have:
    • Proven experience as a Vehicle Paint Technician, ideally in an accident repair environment.
    • Proficiency in colour matching and blending techniques.
    • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality workmanship.
    • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
    Ideally you will have an ATA or NVQ qualification, and we will support you in renewing these qualifications to further your professional development.
