Description
We are looking for a proactive and efficient accounts assistant to join our team in Macclesfield.

Within this role, you will work as part of a team in a busy environment assisting the accounts team with a variety of tasks.

You will need to be detail orientated, have excellent IT skills and be a team player.


Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Produce weekly payment lists
  • Daily reconciliations of all bank deposits, credit card transactions, payroll, etc. and updating internal system with payments received
  • Providing monthly payroll information to send to external accountant to process
  • Preparing information and helping external accountants with annual audit and year end accounts
  • Raise purchase orders/sales invoices
  • Processing of supplier invoices
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of all accounts
  • Supporting the monitoring of the credit card reconciliation
  • Supporting the accounts team with monthend reporting and balance sheet reconciliation preparation
  • Answering internal and external customer/supplier queries when required
  • Provide administrative support to the accounts team

Requirements:


  • Knowledge and experience of using online accounting software is essential and XERO accounting software is advantageous
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/accounts assistant, demonstrating a strong grasp of financial principles and regulations
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring precise recordkeeping and timely financial reporting
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is advantageous
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • AAT qualifications would be advantageous

From £24,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
