Job Purpose:

This role will work on the planned Transformation Programme Releases, its purpose is to prepare and oversee data integration testing for the respective end-to-end solutions delivered by the planned releases.

This will involve ensuring all prerequisites, environments, integrations, resources, test conditions and approach are all available in readiness for Release SIT & UAT execution.

The Data Integration Test Lead will provide data integration test expertise to the programme, ensure robust test governance and quality gates, and provide leadership across all data integration aspects on the Release SIT and UAT Phases of the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and oversee the data integration test approach, test schedule and resource plan which will support delivery against the defined programme outcomes.
Coordination of business and IT on agreed data integration approaches.
Release level quality assurance and providing strong test governance across data integration test activities.
Review and provide input into the release test deliverables.
Produce test schedule for all data integration test activities, in alignment with Release Plan.
Agree, document and enforce entry and exit quality gates in relation to data integration testing.
Produce release level Data Integration Test Completion Report.
Contribute to release level testing Daily Status Reports (DSRs).
Maintenance of release level data integration testing related risks and issues.
Initial point of escalation for all data integration testing activities on each release.

Performance Objectives:

Firm understanding of all the release level integrations and data journeys.
Read and digest project documentation (Project Charter, PDD, HLD, BRDs etc.) to understand the requirements and prerequisites for data integration testing (i.e. test data, test environments etc.), which will feed into the Data Integration Test Approach Document.
Circulate the Data Integration Test Approach Document with the relevant business and IT stakeholders for review and approval.

Skills and Experience Specification:

Essential:

Over 7 years test analysis and management experience. Recent Specialty Insurance experience is vital.
Complete understanding of the full policy (new business/midterm endorsement/renewal/cancellation) and Claims (FNOL/verification/reserves/payments/recovery) lifecycle.
Experience working with business data in the context of policy administration, claims processing and finance systems (accounts receivable and accounts payable transaction feeds).
Excellent understanding of source data journeys (ingestion, storage and presentation) across the endtoend underwriting solution (from the source systems into the data warehouse and semantic layer).
Decent understanding of HVR change data capture (CDC) solutions.
Firm understanding of data migration and data warehousing solutions.
Previous experience integrating Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Excellent stakeholder communication skills, able to summarize a complicated data set into meaningful progress reports.
Experience with industry standard test management tools (MS Azure DevOps, Atlassian Jira etc.)
ISEB / ISTQB or equivalent certification in testing.

Desirable:

Knowledge of automation frameworks proven to be suited to workflow driven systems.
