    Description

    Cloud Database Administrator (DBA)

    Central London – 2/3 days a week in the office

    £55,000 - £60,000 per annum


    A thriving software business in Central London are looking for a Cloud DBA to join a rapidly growing cloud function that develops software for world leading brands. As a Cloud DBA, you will play a crucial role in managing cloud-based databases using PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, and Python.

    Key Responsibilities:


    - Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based database solutions, primarily using SQL and PostgreSQL.

    - Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize database performance and troubleshoot any database-related issues.

    - Monitor and analyze database metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary optimizations.

    - Work with AWS services, including RDS, to deploy and manage database instances.

    - Utilize Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of database deployments.

    - Develop and maintain scripts to automate database administration tasks using Python.

    Requirements:


    - Proven experience as a Cloud DBA or a relevant role.

    - Strong proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL.

    - Experience of working with AWS services, particularly RDS.

    - Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS).

    - Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.).

    - Solid understanding of database security and data protection.

    - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
