Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional to join the Theatres Education and Development Team as the Clinical Educator for Enhanced Perioperative Care Unit (EPOC) and Recovery.


The Recovery service encompasses 2 teams, QMC & City, and cares for all postoperative patients, adults and children, for all surgical specialties.


EPOC is a bespoke built unit, comprising of 14 beds cross-site of post-operative patients from a variety of specialties including Maxillofacial, ENT, HPB, Plastics, Gynaecology, Colorectal, Vascular, Upper GI, Urology, Orthopaedics and Thoracics.

Patients will be cared for at a higher level of care, with a staffing ratio of 1:2.

You will be the clinical experts of your area and lead by example.

You will be fully supported in your own personal development and you will be expected to have, or be willing to achieve, a Post graduate Certificate in Clinical Education as a requirement of this role.

You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and have a high level of self-management, including time management, prioritisation and organisational skills and the motivation to develop all grades of students clinically.
