McCabe & Barton are partnered with a leading Clearing & Trading House in recruiting for an Non-Functional Tester on an interim basis.

The role will be an initially for a 6 months contract with the view to extend.

Rate is £700 per day inside IR35

Key Skills and Responsibilites:

5+ Years experience in nonfunctional testing
Significant experience in financial services ideally an exchange or trading enviroment
Strong scripting experience on Jmeter (preferably with an understanding plugin development in Java) and HP Loadrunner
Ability to build test harness/script using Jmeter or other open source tools for FIX protocol, TCP based Binary messages,and HTTP/Websockets
Ability to analyse and interpret system utilisation metrics, CPU, memory, JAVA heap size etc.
Strong knowledge of Performance, Capacity, Stress Testing Techniques/Methods/Tools
Good knowledge of Operating Systems, preferably Windows and Linux (including scripting of both) and performance tuning of Linux
Good knowledge of relational databases (preferably MS-SQL Server and MySQL) and web servers (preferably IIS)
Good knowledge of performance monitoring of Operating Systems and relational databases like Oracle/MySQL/MS-SQL server and Web Servers (IIS)
Experience in Financial services is preferable with understanding of SWIFT and FIX protocols and experience with multicast messages
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Performance and failover testing experience in a professional role, preferably with low latency
Good understanding of Server topology (web/app/DB server), Computer Networks (TCP/IP, load balancers, firewalls), and knowledge of service layers, Restful service, SOAP Web Services, Websockets
A strong understanding of commodities derivative products
