This is a new role within the Inventory team that will kick start an exciting process to manage inventory for the Renewables business.


  • Actively manage the inventory optimisation plan using the forecasting and buying tools to ensure target stock availability levels are met whilst meeting overall inventory targets.
  • Analyse customer and inventory trends to recommend short term forecast adjustments minimising potential capacity restrictions at suppliers for manufacturing and Inbound Operations. Uses insights from intelligence gathered from stakeholders to makes informed recommendations on future buying decisions to mitigate against predicted constrained stock situations.
  • Solves any supply chain issues and communicates decisions and impacts clearly to internal and external stakeholders. Works with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve processes and efficiency. Works collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve results.
  • Actively contributes to the improvement of Inventory purchasing and management processes. Makes recommendations for improvements for changing inputs/parameters in the planning tools, reporting/metrics or any part of the purchasing process. Takes an active role in collaborative projects to improve the overall supply chain management process.

What do I need?:

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Previous experience of successfully managing inventory for a defined product range.
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of forecasting tools and the ability to carry out analysis of complex data to create accurate forecasts and order plans using Microsoft Excel as well as proprietary supply chain planning systems.
  • Good theoretical understanding and experience of Inventory planning, management principles and metrics with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communicator and comfortable dealing with customers and suppliers at all levels in a manner that enables quick and easy understanding of complex topics.
  • Autonomous worker experienced in managing complex issues through to resolution.
