    We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable and organised Pharmacy Technician Higher Level Intermediate care to join our professional team in West Kent.

    To provide technical support to the KCHT intermediate care services with a focus on community hospitals to enable the provision and development of pharmaceutical services, which includes clinical support.

    You will be expected to become familiar with the four community hospitals in the west Kent locality, and to develop close working relationships with the staff of each of these four community hospitals.

    Applications from recently qualified Band 4 Pharmacy Technicians welcome, if successful at the interview would be taken on in a band 4 to 5 development role.

    Although vaccination against COVID-19 is not mandatory, we are strongly encouraging colleagues in clinical and non-clinical roles who have direct or social contact with patients to be fully vaccinated.

    Experience in an acute hospital in Medicines management
    Experience in performing audits and participating in projects pertaining to the development and maintenance of service improvements
    Experience of practical medicines optimisation issues in community-based services
    Demonstrate practical knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office products, internet systems

    Specialist knowledge, including clinical knowledge, gained through training and experience – knowledge of pharmaceutical care of patients in Intermediate, Palliative Care, Respite Care and Continuing Care.

    Experience and knowledge of the Supply, Distribution, Storage, Administration and Disposal of Pharmaceuticals in Community Services
    Driving licence
    ~ Holds a current driving license and is able to travel between sites across Kent as required.
