Are you a detail orientated and organised professional with strong interpersonal skills? We are seeking a Corporate Support Assistant to join our team at SAAS.
***This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team within Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) as a Corporate Support Assistant. This role will provide a variety of developmental opportunities with regular tasks relating to Audit and Risk, acting as secretariat to SAAS' Audit Risk Assurance Committee and the Risk Management Group. You will gain experience working in a high-profile environment, working closely with Directors and external stakeholders.

This is a Fix Term Appointment for the duration of 24 months.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide highlevel administrative and business support to the Corporate Office of SAAS, focusing on governance and risk reporting activities
  • Liaise directly with Directors, managing their commitments and calendars
  • Offer secretariat support for SAAS Committees/Boards
  • Collaborate with the Business manager to prepare information for the Executive Team
  • Manage information, both paper and digital, to ensure accuracy
  • Support business planning and key performance indicators for monitoring purposes.

No specific qualifications required.


Essential Criteria

  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills in fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in the usage of MS office and online filling platforms (eRDM/SharePoint)
  • Comfortable in assisting the management of an office environment in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experienced in the gathering and analysis of business information

Additional Information
SAAS has separate arrangements from core Scottish Government for Public and Privilege holidays.

After taking up post in SAAS you will take the Spring Friday and Monday holiday in late May/early June together with the September half day.

SAAS office is fully closed between Christmas and New Year.


If you are successful in this role and not based in the UK, you must be willing to relocate to within a reasonable distance of Edinburgh, Scotland.
