Newham HPAS (Homeless Prevention & Advice Service) is seeking a number of experienced Housing Advisors to work on a large backlog of cases.

This role is only suitable for experienced Housing Advisors fluent in Part VII Housing Act 1996 as amended by Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

Officers with less than 2 years experience need not apply.

Officers are able to work from home and work flexible hours once trained. Officers will need to attend offices in person for at least 4 days over the first 2 weeks. After this officers are expected to be able to produce work.

We are looking for officers who treat residents with respect and dignitiy whilst also able to reach prompt and reasonable decisions.

Many cases will be more than 12 months old.

Although line management will be with the Team Leaders, this project will be directly overseen by Head of HPAS.
