    An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Counter Terrorism Case Officers to join the East Midlands Specialist Operations Unit (EMSOU) as part of the Counter Terrorism Policing team. As a Counter Terrorism Case Officer, you will be responsible for the investigation of Prevent related cases and liaising with partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable people.

    What you'll be doing:

  • Disrupt extremist activity through the application of problem-solving methodology.
  • Work with communities, agencies and groups to develop intelligence and better inform the assessment of threat and risk.
  • To manage a Prevent case workload and to support the Prevent strategy of CONTEST connecting communities and policing.
  • The must haves:

  • We are looking for a candidate with good communication skills to engage with our network partners and manage their own workload with minimum supervision.
  • The successful applicant will need experience of dealing with diversity issues and working in diverse communities.
  • You must also have an understanding of the remit of Counter Terrorism Policing.

    Salary: - £29,085 - £35,982

    For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
