Tennants Distribution Ltd is a leading independent distributor of chemicals based in the UK. We are a subsidiary company of Tennants Consolidated Ltd and our origins go back to the late 1700's when the company was founded in Glasgow, Scotland. We are recruiting now for an Accounts Assistant to assist the Finance Manager in the day-to-day tasks within the finance function.

Accounts Assistant – Main Responsibilities

• Accruals and prepayment postings. Experience using Excel is mandatory.

• Invoice and employee expense checking and coding, recording all non-allowable expenses to assist the completion of the PAYE Settlement.

• Understanding of VAT rules will be important.

• Administration of company vehicles including monitoring MOT dates, penalty charges, toll charges, insurance, licence checking and administration of the buying and selling processes.

• This includes the recording and submission of information to our payroll provider who will complete the P46 car which will be used in calculating an employee's P11d.

• Completion of various national statistics returns for submission to the ONS.
