Hours: 36.6 hours a week, 52 weeks a year

The Board of Trustees wish to provide an opportunity for an enthusiastic Head of HR. We are looking for highly motivated individual to become part of our HR Service. The post holder will be based from home and will be required to support across all the academies within the Trust, so therefore must be able to travel to the Derby, Oldham and Tameside areas on a scheduled basis.
The Harmony Trust was established in February 2014 and currently has 15 schools under the Trust umbrella. The successful candidate will have:
• Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
• The ability to establish and lead a Service Plan that is compliant with the overarching strategic objectives and priorities of the organisation.
• Experience of leading, motivating and developing staff.
• Ability to build positive relationships with Senior Management, staff and Trade Union Colleagues.
• Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures relating to human resource management and organisational development.
• Experience of leading, quality assurance and coordination of complex and varied HR casework.
• Experience of interpreting legislation, policy and guidance to contribute to the formulation of local policies and procedures that ensure compliance with national requirements.
• Excellent ICT skills and be able to utilise a number of different packages.
• Working knowledge of UK employment law and proposed legislation changes.
• The ability to prioritise work and respond to the needs of the trust.
