    The school has a new and very successful Nursery and a beautifully designed Pre-Prep, and the Prep offers a surprising range of amenities and outdoor space, all set in a safe and desirable residential area.

    Due to retirement, the school is seeking an exceptional and dynamic individual with strong financial acumen and proven leadership ability to take on the role of their bursar.

    This role reports directly to the Head and sits as part of the Senior Leadership Team and the successful candidate will also be the clerk to the Governing Body.

    The position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced and innovative person who will oversee the school's financial matters in consultation with the Head and assume responsibility for the school's operations management.

    We require someone genuinely interested in Education, particularly in the independent school sector. \r

    You will have recent financial experience to effectively manage the school's financial affairs, including setting budgets, preparing financial accounts and detailing long-term operational plans.

    You will oversee the management of various support departments within the school, ensuring that the premises are successfully managed and compliant with legislative requirements.

    The school is spread over three buildings, and the estate portfolio is vast and complex. \r

    An understanding of facilities management, health and safety, and legal aspects of school management would be highly desirable. \r
    \r


    You should hold an innovative and professional attitude and use your communication skills to develop good working relationships with school staff and external contractors.

    The successful candidate will enjoy an autonomous role while working in a collaborative team. \r
