You have extensive professional experience in consulting combined with experience of managing large and/or multiple strategic consulting projects with competing priorities within the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry.


You also have experience of working with/in the NHS and have up to date knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical, NHS and healthcare industries.


You are naturally analytical and you have the ability to translate and interpret complex analysis along with having well -developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing.

As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for business development through to delivery of our Commercial Optimisation engagements, ensuring customer satisfaction so it is essential that you are an expert in understanding key customer needs and ensuring:

  • We effectively communicate the value of our Commercial Optimisation solutions
  • Timely delivery of projects
  • A strategic development pipeline is driven to maximise this into the future.

In this role your objectives are to:

  • To grow and develop WHC Commercial Optimisation Services
  • Ownership and responsibility for securing and delivery of timely and profitable client projects across the healthcare industry
  • Support WHC sales teams in pitching and winning consulting projects
  • Development of new consulting services and support the solutions team to develop novel and innovative services
  • Provide strategic advisory services to clients and utilise deep industry knowledge, experience and analytical skills to address client challenges and develop new approaches to solving evolving client needs
  • Raise the general profile of WH in the Commercial Optimisation/Business Consulting space by attending and presenting at industry conferences and events, submitting articles to industry publications, and attending inperson and virtual client events

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Extensive professional experience in consulting within the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with evidence of career progression
  • Knowledge and experience of working with/in NHS
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate and interpret complex analysis including primary and secondary research with attention to detail
  • Proven project management experience focused on strategic consulting projects
  • Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing
  • Strong capability in managing large and/or multiple projects and competing priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently highquality deliverables
  • Experience in developing credible relationships with C suite and executives in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals
  • Ability to contribute to business development through the identification of leads, development of proposals etc.
  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical, NHS and healthcare industries
