We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our inclusive and supportive schools across Hertfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a significant difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Role Purpose:


As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and social development of students with a range of special educational needs.

This includes working alongside teachers to create an inclusive learning environment that meets the unique needs of each student.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both within the classroom and in small groups or oneonone settings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Facilitate the inclusion of SEN students in all school activities.
  • Adapt resources and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Monitor and report on students' progress to teachers and SENCOs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support student wellbeing and development.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with children.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • An Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo this check.
