We are working alongside a community based organisation based in Blackburn who are looking for a Head of Finance/Finance Manager to join their business and support the future growth of the organisation. The role will involve managing a small team and being led by an experienced mentor who can support you in developing your strategic and technical thinking.

Duties as Finance Manager will include:-

• Manage the full budget process, including the annual preparation, internal controls and expenditure as well as overall performance of the business
• Be the main point of contact for the year end audit and completion of financial statements
• Manage the monthly management reporting ensuring all transactions are accurate and accountable
• Produce meaningful commentary, for both internal and external parties
• Manage the KPI process across the business, developing accountability and increased performance of the organisation
• Closely monitor the cashflow and on-going forecasting process, as well as monitor the business bank
• Be the lead on the future development of the organisation and services on offer
• Provide a stratergy for growth and developmentof services which will increase revenue
• Oversee the IT across the sites and support effective operations

The ideal candidate will be qualified within the profession, either ACCA/CIMA/ACA or AAT Technician and have some experience not only within finance but other elements of a small business - IT/Commercial. The role will involve strategic involvement at Board level and you must be able to work closely with your peers as every day will be different. The business operates a hybrid working model, although your presence is essential as the financial lead across multi sites, you will have flexibility to work across locations close to Blackburn and at home.
