Senior Housing Solution Caseworker:


Permanent

Grade 4 - £30,151 - £37,261
This is a challenging role in a highly pressured environment.

The postholder will manage a small team, duties include monitoring workloads, staff development, performance management and to ensure processes are administered effectively within legislative requirements.

You will also be required to carry out statutory reviews of homelessness decisions.

You will have a caseload and will be expected to deliver expert housing advice and solutions; conduct thorough assessments and investigations; make referrals to other Local Authorities and support agencies; deliver high quality case management and make informed homeless decisions within statutory targets.

The role

The postholder will manage a small team, duties include monitoring workloads, staff development, performance management and to ensure processes are administered effectively and within legislative requirements.

You will also be required to carry out statutory reviews of homelessness decisions and writing decision letters.

You will have a caseload and will be expected to deliver expert housing advice and solutions; conduct thorough assessments and investigations; make referrals to other Local Authorities and support agencies; deliver high quality case management; and make informed homeless decisions within statutory targets.

Key requirements

Ability to deal with a diverse range of people, including some with vulnerabilities and complex needs.

Have great verbal and written communication skills

Are accurate and pay attention to detail

Confident in your use of systems and databases


Have knowledge of working within social housing and homelessness, would be helpful but training is given for those with experience in another legal, social or person facing field.

An ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence using the English Language as required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016

Basic IT skills and attention to detail are important as you will be writing case notes and decision letters
