As a Barclays Developer Analyst, you'll be someone who likes to solve problems and can quickly become comfortable with the relevant aspects of a new system or software library.

You'll be able to analyse and solve technical problems, in a logical, systematicway, even when under time pressure.
Market Risk IT is developing a new platform for provisioning Full Revaluation VAR analysis for all asset classes. This is a strategic replacement for fundamental risk reporting from older sensitivity-based risk models.

What will you be doing?:

Gathering, developing work, quality control and user support
Developing risk analytic models for several reporting components
Interfacing with team architects, IT and QA leads, with an expectation to analyse complex requirements and plan the technical solution
You will be involved in all aspects of software development life cycle
Reporting to the development lead on the progress of development and user support tasks in daily Scrum meetings
Interfacing with RTB ("Run the Bank") for production releases, issues and also interfacing with users when unexpected problems arise in supported environments
Negotiating and solicit engagement and support at all levels of the organisation, particularly where support is low or challenging

What we're looking for:

Expert development skills in one of (or both) C# or/and F#
Familiarity with Web development and CI/CD
Practical experience of project ownership and delivery
Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Skills that will help you in the role:

Familiarity with NoSQL database solutions, e.g. MongoDB
Knowledge of various simple risk models and VaR
Experience of working in an Investment Bank
Ability to define a high quality code
