Project Planner

Salary Range:
£30,000 to £40,000 per annum

Overtime:
Time and 1⁄2 after 37.5 hours

Hours: 37.5-hour week

Location:
Telford

Permanent role working for aleading prime Defence design and manufacturingclient.

A Project Planner is required with knowledge and experience of planning, monitoring and controlling (PM&C) processes of both the demonstration and manufacturing phases of new projects.

This includes liaising with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing andquality activities in the programme.

Due to expansion the client based in Telford requires a dynamic, leading project planner on a permanent basis
.
As a project planner you will be required to:

Generate and maintain project schedules within the programmes, working with Engineering Leads and Project Managers.
Perform analysis and monitoring of demand for the project and ensure alignment to the priorities of the project.
Support the delivery and prioritisation of demand
Generate and monitor of performance metrics for the project and produce reports as required
Identify, maintain and progress mitigation actions for risk management
Analyse the core skills required to meet the demand and define engineering and business competency needs as required
Support the production and ontime delivery of Project Management deliverables as defined in the project management plan.

The Project Planner s hould have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

APM PMQ or equivalent qualification (desirable)
Experience within project management
Previously demonstrated PM&C experience
Good understanding and experience of a range of Project Management tools, techniques and practices. Including scheduling, risk and issue management, change control, budgeting, forecasting and project controls
Experience of influencing internal stakeholders to achieve business success.
Knowledge of Critical Chain Project Management is desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good attention to detail.
Driven selfstarter.
Knowledge and experience of using SAP
