We have an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to work in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, within MRC International Statistics & Epidemiology Group.

The group comprises 35 statisticians and epidemiologists based in London and Africa, with an extensive portfolio of research covering a range of diseases of major public health importance, including HIV and sexual and reproductive health, TB, malaria, emerging and neglected diseases and mental health.

The successful applicant will lead all aspects of the administrative and financial management of a portfolio of research projects.

As a key member of group and first point of contact for those projects, the post-holder will provide guidance on their management and administration, working closely with the Principal Investigators, Programme Manager, and liaising with partner institutions.

They will also manage the Group's Training Fellowship in Medical Statistics for African scientists.

The post-holder will have higher education to degree level or equivalent or substantial relevant experience.

They will have substantial experience of providing proactive administrative support in Higher Education, including the ability to monitor large budgets and prepare accurate costings, projections and reports.

Excellent relevant IT skills (particularly Excel) and proven ability to use initiative and judgement to solve problems is essential. Further particulars are included in the job description.
