- You will work closely with the team to provide technical support and contribute to ongoing projects.
- Undertake Bacterial and cyanobacterial culture and maintenance, DNA isolation, protein expression, and chromatography.
- Manage Laboratory instrument servicing, repairs, and annual service contracts.
- Organize Laboratory health and safety monitoring, order chemicals and consumables, and maintain the laboratory.
- Prioritize tasks to meet project milestones, conduct staff inductions, and participate in lab meetings.
- Take care of the minus 80C freezer, restock liquid nitrogen, and purchase gas and cylinders.
- Ideally, you should have a degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Bioscience with practical experience in a technical/scientific role.
- Proven expertise in laboratory research, bacteriology techniques, and cyanobacterial culture and maintenance is required.
- You must be adaptable, able to learn new techniques, work well in a team, and independently manage tasks efficiently.
- This full-time position is for one year initially, with a possibility of extension based on funding, located at the South Kensington Campus.
