About The Role:


Payment for 6.6 weeks pro rata, £2,190.88 will be paid equally in your twelve monthly salary payments in addition to the advertised salary.
EKC Group are seeking an Industry Liaison Officer to join the Group.

As an Industry Liaison Officer (ILO) at EKC Group you would be responsible for securing and monitoring progress of work placements in varied vocational areas for students and to act as the main point of contact for employer relations for these areas.

This can include supporting the planning and implementation of employer events for organising employer visits for students.


Your role responsibilities would also include ensuring employers return the required documentation in a timely fashion following college guidelines and national expectations as well as working with students on a one to one and small group basis to identify their employability skills gaps and supporting them to develop them to be able to complete a successful industry placement.


This role is highly unique and will be pivotal in the successful development of our students work experience and project needs and is instrumental in the department.

This should be a very exciting opportunity to be key to the success of an innovative and new way of delivering education to the students we serve.


A portion of the hours of the position will also involve supporting Level 2 and 3 students in finding and recording high quality worthwhile industry links and work experience.

You will be a good record keeper and project manager, able to work on several outcomes at the same time.

You will be a self directed problem solver with good local connections with the Visual Arts Industries.

About You:


You will work to support students on a range of courses and the Visual Arts department in the completion of their work experience needs.

This coming September sees a new higher education course in professional business practice. As a result, students will spend 60% of their time in a range of placements in the locale.

This position would be the port of call for students in placements, the contacts at the placements and coordinating good levels of communication between them and the tutors on the course.

A working knowledge of further and higher educational practices is preferable.


Good communication skills are essential as well as able to learn new systems that are required of by the role.


You will responds positively to challenging situations and are able to effectively communicate that with programme directors and head of department.

The position will involve working with a diverse range of students needs.

You will also be part of a diverse team and you will add to the passion we all share for the visual arts and massively contribute to the successes our students share with us.
