Eames Consulting are partnered with a leading commercial bank with their search for a qualified Treasury Accountant.

You will provide advice and guidance to other departments within the bank on key performance controls and policies. Within a changing business environment, you will be expected to contribute and oversee the work of the main Treasury department as well as having cross departmental responsibilities, including reporting and reconciliation work.

This rotation between functions will allow you to demonstrate your expertise and broaden the knowledge and experience of junior colleagues.

Duties -

Create and complete accounting processes that produce reports of assets, liabilities and profit and loss

Support the production of a full audit trail for all accounting processes

Provide oversight and guidance on transaction and strategy booking

Continuously identifying and highlight areas of concern

Assist with the delivery of change and the continual improvement of reporting standards

Work with system development teams to deliver systems enhancements

Knowledge and experience -

Fully qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent

Extensive knowledge and understanding of treasury products and services - derivatives, repos and bonds

Financial control experience with Treasury Finance and Product Control

Understanding of key drivers of P&L and balance sheet movements

Banking or Financial Services sector experience

Confidence in making departmental decisions

Experience assisting with the process of continual improvement of reporting standards

Intermediate user of Excel

This role offers a flexible hybrid working environment with 2 days in the office.
