_Health & Safety Manager - Interiors Contractor - Reading & London_

Company:


Currently a Specialist Fit Out Contractor based in Reading who carry out projects in the; Commercial, Education, and Residential sectors are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager.

These projects include; CAT A & CAT B fit outs. Projects are mainlylocated in London and surrounding counties, and usually range from £100k - £3m in value.


The Role:

My client are looking for a full-time Health & Safety Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

This role can be a mixture of working being on site and in the HQ in Reading.

This is a standalone role reporting directly to the Managing Director and supporting the workforce.


Main duties:


  • Advise on all safety, health and welfare matters to ensure the company complies with its statutory obligations.
  • Provide SHEQ support in relation to subcontractors working on their projects
  • Preparing method statements and risk assessments
  • Accident and nearmiss reporting and investigation
  • Undertake site audits and safety management of subcontractors
  • Maintain all company accreditations (e.g. ISO, CHAS)

Requirements:


  • Sound knowledge of interior fit out systems partitioning, suspended ceilings, drylining is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience as a H&S Manager is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge/qualified with working at heights and dust detection.

Salary:


They are offering an annual salary package of up to £60k plus package which will be dependent on the persons experiences and qualifications.
