Chappell Enterprises UK are recruiting for an
Experienced Grounds Person in the
Borehamwood area.


The role of Grounds Person is to maintain and improve the sports surfaces on the school's campus including 10 football/rugby pitches, 3 cricket squares and outfields, an artificial running track and grass running track and 2 sand based artificial pitches,as well as both netball courts and a lacrosse field.

He or She will also assist in the maintenance and improvement of the horticultural areas including the woodlands and water features.


This role would be ideal for someone who has previously been a Greenkeeper, Grounds Maintenance, and Gardening we are looking for someone that enjoys the outside environment and takes pride in their work, this a prestigious school.

This is an amazing opportunityto work for a lovely school that takes care of and develops their staff.


Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:00 may have to work the occasional weekend when required.


Day to day task may include:


  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
  • Preparing good quality cricket pitches and outfields during the summer term.
  • Preparing quality rugby/football/lacrosse surfaces throughout the year.
  • Assisting with basic machinery maintenance and setup.
  • Assisting in the renovation of school sports grounds.
  • Operation and safe use of tractormounted implements.
  • Maintaining non turf pitches and courts (astro, netball, tennis)
  • Application and identification of weeds, pests and diseases with PA1/PA6.
