    The Teesside Children and Young People Community Eating Disorder Service (TCYP-CEDS) is looking to recruit a Clinical Specialist Nurse for a secondment/fixed term opportunity for 15 months.

    The TCYP-CEDS in TEWV works to improve the lives of people with mental health conditions by minimising the impact of eating disorders and co-morbidities through the delivery of excellent services to promote recovery and wellbeing.

    You will be well supported and work within a friendly team with opportunities for continuing professional development.
    Should funding become available this may become a permanent post.
    ensuring clinical standards are maintained in the delivery of care across all aspects of the service. You will have experience working in community CAMHS andwith eating disorders.

    You will also have an understanding of relevant legislation, knowledge of Safeguarding and Clinical Risk Assessment, Management and its application in practice.

    The ability to make balanced decisions and use positive risk-taking approaches, whilst managing potentially high-pressure situations. You will undertake needs led, evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions with children and young people.

    The post holder will have responsibility for providing clinical leadership to colleagues and co-ordination of the assessment, treatment and management of children and young people accessing this service.

    They will offer advice and consultation regarding the management of the client group to colleagues within the Specialist CAMHS Team and to colleagues in other agencies as necessary.

    Extensive knowledge of current issues relating to health needs of patients in the field of practice, regionally and nationally
    Understanding and working knowledge of the legal framework and statutory obligations under the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act
    Detailed understanding of Safeguarding and its application in practice.
    Clinical Risk Assessment and Management and its application in practice.
    Working knowledge of clinical medicines management.
    Understanding of psychological models of care and treatment (depending on specialist area)
    Current Professional Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council - RMN / RNLD/ RGN (RNSC - CAMHS Only)
    Postgraduate diploma in a subject relevant to the area Or be willing to work towards and achieve within 2 years and

    Within the first year of being in post hold a recognised qualification in a governed therapy/advanced clinical qualification e.

    g Intermediate Systemic Family Therapy/Post Grad diploma in CBT/British Isles Dialectical Behaviour Therapy /NMP (Independent Prescriber)
    And have Equivalent clinical experience to that of a Post Grad Diploma/master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience (see below under experience), together with evidence of relevant CPD
    Experience required - Significant experience working with patients with complex needs in the specialist field.
    Significant experience working with patients who display risk behaviours.
    Clinical risk assessment and management and its application in practice.
    Quality improvement .
