Ibk is a community based, not-for-profit social enterprise with over 20 years' experience of providing Direct Payment Support to families, children and adults of all ages with a range of needs. We provide a bespoke matching service, finding the right PA for the right person

IBK are currently working with a family who are is seeking to recruit a calm and caring PA who will support their 11 year old daughter.

The post is to support this young person when her Mum is at work during the school holidays. She adores getting out and about walking her dog or on her bike. As well as going out bowling or spending time in the kitchen baking

This lady person has a range of needs relating to her diagnoses of a 15q13.3 microdeletion, ASD, attention and concentration difficulties with impulsivity, as well as learning difficulties.

This young lady struggles to manage her frustrations and to regulate her emotions and needs support to stay calm and feel safe.

She needs an encouraging PA with experience who won't overload her with information and work with her to recognise and deal with her emotions.

Support will focus on doing activities in the local community.

Person Specification:

Essential

Willing to learn from the young person and their family.
Be friendly, reliable, and honest; and maintain confidentiality.
Be respectful in the familyhome.
Have a genuine desire to enhance the young person's life and boost their selfconfidence.
A good sense of humour.
Resilient nature

Desirable

Car driver, holding clean driving license.
An understanding of the nature of this type of support work.
Experience and understanding of autism and communication difficulties.
Having interests, hobbies and skills you could share with the young person.

Hours
Minimum of 10 hours per week, in the school holidays only.
