    At Barnett Waddingham, we are currently recruiting a new and exciting opportunity for a Central Service Secretarial Team Manager to join our Secretarial business area.

    This will be a Hybrid role and based in one of our Cheltenham, Birmingham, or Liverpool offices.


    The role of our Secretarial Services hub area is to provide central and dedicated secretarial administration to all business areas, employees, and Partners at Barnett Waddingham.

    This Central Service Secretarial Team Manager position is responsible for managing all central service team members, located across various BW offices.


    The successful candidate will have a considerate and holistic approach to leadership, with a desire to bring out the best in people.

    As the Central Service Secretarial Team Manager, you will have several years' experience working in a similar role and have previously managed teams.

    Responsibilities


    First point of contact for all internal client Central Service secretarial enquiries, responsible for managing the design of business solution and distribution of workflow amongst the team.

    Holds monthly 1:1 meetings to discuss workloads, client matters, internal communications etc.

    Leads weekly huddle meetings to ensure all team members are aware of responsibilities and activities of the team.

    Host PDRs with each direct report.

    Provides coaching and arranging training where necessary.

    Carry out regular onsite visits to all offices every six weeks.

    Actively manages the team to achieve goals and respond to the needs of the business.

    Support, Implement and Maintain Information Security procedures and activities in accordance with BW's Information Security Policy.

    Creates monthly impact report, outlining people, process and service achievements and performance.

    Contribution to the preparation of the Secretarial Service hub vision plans and budget reviews.


    Working with Secretarial Services Management team to design and arrange annual away days, quarterly knowledge and engagement sessions, monthly communication plans.


    Provides shadow cover for other Secretarial Service Team Managers and undertakes necessary professional development and training to achieve best practice in role.

    Travel to any BW office locations as required.

    Qualifications/Experience

    Several years' experience in a similar role with previous line management experience (essential).

    Demonstrate ability to manage, motivate and develop secretaries, PA/EAs.

    High level understanding of secretarial services roles and value add to business operations.

    A background in Professional Services is preferred, but not essential.

    Client and service delivery focused, with good commercial awareness and project management skills.

    Ability to lead successful working relationships within a team.

    Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills.

    Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications, with good knowledge of databases and portal systems.

    Have 5 GCSE's, National 4/5s (Scotland) or equivalent at Grade 4 (C) or above, including Maths and English.

    Professional industry qualifications and network memberships appropriate to secretarial services.
