GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client located in Kidderminster, for an experienced Stores Operative (good's in & good's out) to join their well-known, highly successful and rapidly growing organisation.


Our client is a lead provider of automation engineering services and solutions, across a wide range of industries, including automotive, rail, aerospace, pharmaceutical, food and beverage.

This is a full time, permanent position: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm & Friday 8:30am till 12:30pm


You will be responsible for goods in/out, imports, exports and deliveries, stock reconciliation, tracking of shipments, the maintenance and handling of all information and enquiries and other projects within the department.

The Stores Operative (good's in & good's out) will develop an excellent customer relationship, updating supplier(s) and customers with current delivery dates for assigned orders placed, ensuring timely delivery of both internal and external customer expectations

Stores Operative (good's in & good's out) main duties:

  • Actioning daily orders
  • Goods in/out
  • Ensuring orders are ontime for collection
  • Escalating any stock shortages immediately to relevant person
  • Print despatch paperwork ready for collection of goods
  • Meet and greet drivers upon arrival and guiding to required destination
  • Oversee the loading process of goods onto hauliers or tankers
  • Signing off driver paperwork
  • Undertaking adhoc logistics or warehouse duties when required
Stores Operative (good's in & good's out) desired skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in Logistics ideally within manufacturing
  • Highly organised, proactive approach and a 'can do' attitude to problem solving.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High levels of initiative, energy and have passion and dedication for completing tasks to the highest standards.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual, as well as part of the wider centre team.
  • You'll have strong communication skills


For all the above requirements the successful Stores Operative (good's in & good's out) will receive a competitive salary of up to £28,000 per annum based on experience.
