    The opportunity:



    An amazing chance has emerged to join the Planning and Performance Reporting (PPR) team in a new position focused on providing enhanced insight to our senior stakeholders. The PPR team is key to PPM (Planning and Performance Management) and is at the forefront of financial performance management in the UK, covering both the UK P&C and Life businesses. We are a vibrant and adaptable team that excels in direct interaction with the UK CFO, CEO, and senior leaders within the UK and at Group level.     We are seeking a driven candidate to serve as the Strategic Planning analyst and bring a more profound analytical perspective to unify performance insights across the UK. The provided insights will aid the PPM contributions to the UK Executive Committee, the Virtuous Circle, and the Business Unit Review (BUR) processes, focusing on enhancing the depth of analysis for strategic decision-making. This role plays a key part in how PPM influences business performance going forward, collaborating closely with underwriting, reserving, and claims.


    Many of our team members work flexibly in various ways, including part-time arrangements, flexible hours, job sharing, some remote work, or compressed hours.     What will you be doing?


    The job involves:
    • Leading PPM analysis on emerging topics through conducting mini-projects and leading discussions at the UK Executive Committee to assist in shaping commercial and financial strategies for improved outcomes.
    • Collaborating with Business Partners, Actuarial, Underwriting, and Claims teams to gather insights and work collectively on identifying trends and recommendations.
    • Providing an external perspective by monitoring market trends and incorporating external views into the analysis.
    • Contributing to UK Business Unit Reviews (BUR) by closely working with senior stakeholders in Finance and other business areas.
    • Supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of the UK 18-month rolling financial forecast. This forecast will aid in strategic UK business planning and target setting for the complete planning process.
    • Aiding in developing ad hoc financial models and analyses to aid in supporting initiatives.
    • Exhibiting a mindset of continuous improvement and assisting with other PPR activities as needed.
    The role reports to the Head of Planning & Performance Reporting.

    • Strong communication skills capable of tailoring messages to different stakeholders, including members of the Executive Committee.
    • The ability to grasp the bigger picture while maintaining keen attention to detail.
