Are you self-motivated, agile and keen to deliver results under pressure and to develop? We are looking for a full-time, Buyer or Senior Buyer (DOE) to look after the Protein categories.

The purpose of this Buyer / Senior Buyer role is to assume responsibility for and manage the assigned categories and related suppliers to develop them and to negotiate competitive terms in line with company buying strategy, to ensure that allmanhall remain competitive against the market.
Provide support to the Procurement Manager on major categories and suppliersDevelop and oversee service level agreements to performance manage assigned categories and suppliers in line with company buying strategy
Deliver against commercial targets or requirements
Deliver Buying team tasks to plan
Delivery and management of Buying team projects to plan
Undertake report writing and analysis, turning data into insight and informative reports for key external stakeholders
Support the business by providing procurement advice and development opportunities with new and existing clients
Support all Buying team activity and contribute to the development of the team to improve efficiencies, effectiveness, and business growth.
Demonstrate a can-do attitude and a real desire to work with and help our clients and suppliersHave excellent planning, organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail abilities
Have previous work experience in a business environment
Have GCSE English and Maths Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
There are no public transport links to our office, therefore holding a valid driving licence and owning (or having access to) a car or other mode of private transport is essential to be able to commute and attend ad-hoc offsite meetings
Previous experience or strong understanding of protein as a food category
Previous experience or strong understanding of sustainability in the food supply chain
Be able to report write - influential and fluent writing skills
The Contract
Full-time: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:4- 17:15 (with an early finish on Fridays at 16:15).
Salary:
Up to £40,000* per annum DOE plus 20% OTE bonus and a competitive benefits package including 33 days annual leave (incl Bank Holidays) plus an additional day of leave for each year of service up to 38 days (incl Bank Holidays), a day off for your birthday, cycle to work scheme, discounted gym membership, volunteer day leave, team socials and lots more.
