    Role responsibilities

    This role supports in the management of Transport for Wales' (TfW) land and property portfolio to include management of property assets owned or leased by TfW and TfW Rail LTD requiring an extensive knowledge of the portfolio across Wales.

  • Provide advice to the Portfolio Manager, the Head of Commercial Property and the wider Commercial Property team using skills and expertise and via the drafting of papers to make recommendations which will ensure that key property decisions are actioned.
  • Support the implementation of procedures by developing a full understanding of TfW's full systems to ensure effective management of the land and property portfolio.
  • Proposing the terms of precedent agreements for new property lettings, easements, and wayleaves by working closely with TfW's legal support function to ensure that TfW and TfWRL's interests are suitably protected and not exposed to undue risk.
  • Aid the development and implementation of a consenting mechanism to obtain consent from stakeholders to ensure TfW can progress with land and property transactions.
  • Who we're looking for

  • Qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with demonstrable post qualification experience.
  • Experience in dealing with property management relating to residential, agricultural, and commercial land and properties.
  • Experience of effective client relationship management and track record of implementation, adherence, and compliance of reporting structures.
  • Demonstrable experience in connection with the management of a complex property portfolio.
  • Full UK Driver's Licence.
  • Welsh Language Skills

    The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
