Purpose:


To support the Implementation Team by preparing, formatting, uploading, and extracting Client data, and business control configuration to and from a complex ERP system.

Validate and report on agreed process set up, for final sign off and information sharing post-Implementation.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Support

  • Prepare files of data for bulk upload; containing Client information combined with TVS field information.
  • Extract data from stored databases, building up your knowledge of our files and fields structure, and where information is held in the system.
  • Learn how the business processes operate and how they interlink and depend on each other
Implementation

  • Take responsibility for loading and validating system configuration to ERP system. ERP has several control parameters to allow the management of the various business processes.

This includes the setting up and testing of:
̵ Master Data - _Item numbers, Customers, Vendors_

̵ Transactional Processing - _Purchase Orders, Advance Shipment Notifications, Sales Orders, Inventory Transactions, Requests for Credits and Returns and associated Finance postings._

̵ Warehouse Order Control - _This manages activities in our various

Distribution Centres:

Stock Allocation and replenishment, Inventory Control, Pick, Pack and Despatch and associated Transport methods and the system calendars that support this.

  • Data management would include preparing csv files for uploading and extracting using Query tools.
  • Record the settings so that an accurate record is kept and used for change management and triaging of any reported issues which can be useful to future implementations.
  • Use built up knowledge to support the team and wider business colleagues on answering questions and emergency issue resolution where needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:


  • Ability to work at a detailed level, paying attention to navigation of screens
  • Must be precise in keying and following work instructions
  • Have a good level of concentration
  • Take personal pride in being exact and precise and learn from errors
  • Able to accept constructive feedback and give it where necessary with regards the accuracy of the settings.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products, advanced Excel skills to match and analyse data sets
  • Good data analysis skills
  • A logical approach to enable learning of the databases and data storage and retrieval of that data
  • SQL knowledge would be an advantage

Our head office is based at a purpose-built distribution facility on Buckshaw Village in Chorley with excellent transport links to the M61 and M6 plus a mainline train station less than a mile away.

The office has on-site parking, shower facilities for those who brave the elements on a bike or on foot and a subsidised canteen.


We are currently operating on a hybrid working basis, there will however be a period of time at the start of your employment spent fully working in our office, familiarising yourself with our systems and processes.
