    Description

    The Finance Systems Manager is a key internal role, providing a hands-on in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Business Central application and its customisations and integrations with other systems and software.

    Their knowledge is integral to providing a high standard of service to all end users, supporting with recommending the most appropriate solutions to meet rapidly evolving business requirements, and acting as the system lead who oversees all aspects of ERP system design and development.

    Working in partnership with Finance, Third Parties and Internal IT, support the business with all aspects of the Business Central ERP platform and peripheral Finance applications, including new user set up and training, issue resolution, system updates and bespoke development requirements.

    consult, identify and lead implementation of changes and improvements to the finance platform and related systems to support business growth and development, reduce manual procedures and improve the internal control environment
    Manage the day-to-day administration of the system, such as user access and permissions requests, license management and instance management tasks, automating and streamlining wherever possible

    Manage the relationship with third party suppliers and work to schedule/prioritise tasks or projects with them accordingly, reporting back to the business on progress to set expectations.

    Produce clear, detailed documentation such as IT systems knowledge articles, data flow diagrams, user story requirements or statement of works, and document core procedures within the finance team to ensure business continuity and support new starters.

    Manage sprints, releases and Solution Deployment through Development, UAT and Production Business Central Systems.
    Carrying out testing and coordinating tests within the business where required.
    React with urgency to P1 incidents, keeping stakeholders updated of progress until resolution.

    Act as point of contact to escalate and manage issues/requests with Microsoft and third party support providers such as RSM.

    Manage and develop the ERP data architecture and financial reporting mechanisms in tandem with the Finance Teams and Business Information Team to allow for efficient and standardised reporting of operational, statutory, management and KPI reporting requirements.

    9+ years experience managing and optimising multiple MS Business Central instances and other financial applications within a large organisation. Demonstrable leadership skills or consultancy experience as a Technical Lead/Project Lead within a Business Central environment
    Experience working with or alongside Microsoft Gold Partners is desirable
    Experience executing the full development lifecycle using Agile development methods
    Experience of stakeholder management and working collaboratively to enhance and maintain corporate systems, integrations and services.
    Experience of ITIL, risk/issue management and change control procedures
    Understanding of finance processes
    Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics CE CRM, MS PowerBI & PowerPlatform . DevOps,MS Office incl Project and Visio, MS Visual Studio.
