    Overview

    Kenton Learning Centre are looking for qualified, experienced, enthusiastic, and flexible tutors to deliver courses to adult learners with learning difficulties and disabilities. The post offers excellent progression opportunities and a chance to work with a brilliant and supportive team.

    About You

    Duties

    • Carry out initial and diagnostics assessments.
    • Deliver group-based accredited and non-accredited courses
    • Maintain attendance registers, records of progress and ensure learners are enrolled on the right levels
    • Create teaching and learning materials and resources
    • Differentiate levels and create individualised resources for learners
    • Teach blended learning courses and online classes through Google Classroom
    • Help learners improve their employability skills through continuous assessment, marking and examinations.
    • Check and assess learners' work and provide feedback
    • Engage in analysis data and target setting to raise standards of retention and achievement.
    • To work within the Learn Harrow Quality framework ensuring that services delivered meet the standards required of the contract.
    • To maintain effective and efficient administrative procedures as required

    Essential

    • Must have a professional teaching qualification (either at Level 3 or 4)
    • Must have relevant qualification from digital skills industry sector and/or sector experience
    • Experienced in a range of IT skills, including advanced in MS Office and E-Learning platforms especially Google Classroom

    Experience :

    • Experience of teaching accredited courses, assessing and marking portfolios and assessments, end of course exams and assignments
    • Experience of undergoing an Ofsted observation as well as internal and other external observations.
    • Experience of teaching individuals of all diverse cultural backgrounds.
    • Experience of implementing Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values in line with the course content.

    Skills :

    • Adaptable and flexibility, this is an essential requirement for the role.
    • Good interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills.
    • Strong coaching and teaching ability.
    • Excellent organisational skills.
    • Must have excellent time management skills.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of online learning platforms
    • IT working knowledge of MS Office
    • Knowledge of internal Quality Assurance processes
