Our client supports the Branson family and the growth of their brand by developing and nurturing valuable their businesses around the world.
The team of circa 180 employees across two offices in London and New York includes teams as diverse as legal, investment,finance, tax, brand, people, communications and corporate relations.
It also works alongside them Unite, the entrepreneurial foundation of their Group and is home to their Start Up, a not-for-profit organisation that delivers government backed loans, mentoringand other support to entrepreneurs in the UK.
They work alongside all the different companies and their specialist sector teams around the world.They have interests spanning travel & leisure, health & wellness, music & entertainment, telecoms & media, financial services and space.
Each of those individualbusinesses have their own ways of working and recruit directly, but they are all united by a shared culture and purpose.
The role:
To support the Chief People Officer and People Leadership team, providing an excellent level of administrative support and facilitating the smooth running of their diaries.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing a proactive, professional, and effective support to the CPO and People Leadership team
- Diary management responsible for maintaining relevant dairies, ensuring that their time is managed effectively and resolving competing demands
- Arranging travel including planning of itineraries, arranging visas, booking flights and accommodation in line with budgets and travel policies, taking into consideration the sustainability credentials of service providers
- Act as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, exercising judgement to determine when to escalate to other team members and other Group companies, filtering and delegating activities that could be handled by other teams
- Meeting coordination supporting the CPO and people leadership team to arrange and coordinate team meetings including agendas, resources, attendees, and other important team meetings such as offsite events.
- Project support collaborating with relevant teams to ensure key milestones are met, maintaining document management systems, projects plans etc.
- Admin support including expenses and invoices
For this role they need you to be/have:
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Confident to build a network with other assistants and stakeholders
- Commitment to achieving quality outcomes whilst being responsive and adaptable to change
- Proactive approach, able to anticipate needs
- Selfmotivated and able to work to selfset deadlines but also able to work well as part of a team
- Previous experience supporting senior executives
- Demonstrated understanding of the people function and practices is desirable
