The role
As a Base Main & Installations Co-ordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for co-ordination of all aspects of Base Maintenance Activity at Staverton facility
- including the Part-145 oversight of aircraft installation activity.
- Day to day, you'll take responsibility for:
- Management of resource/ rosters to ensure adequate appropriately authorised staff, spare parts, materials, and equipment are available to safely deliver the planned and emergent Base Maintenance, Component Workshop and Aircraft Installations activity.
- Planning, oversight, and control of this activity via your team of Supervisors and Certifying Staff. Ensures all activity is planned, provisioned, and executed in accordance with relevant procedures, regulation and process. Notifying the Head of Maintenance/ D&C Ops manager of discrepancies in this regard.
- Planning and oversight of Line Maintenance for aircraft located at Staverton, including the liaison and deconfliction with Babcock training School/ HQ Operations departments in support of pilot training service delivery targets.
- Local management of the Hangars and equipment in Staverton via control of the Hangar Support Supervisor to ensure that facilities are maintained and presented in a professional and compliant manner. Actively promoting the lean and safety cultures within your areas of responsibility.
Essential experience of the Base Main & Installations Co-ordinator:
- Strong UK Aviation industry experience, in particular Rotary Wing operations & technical support. HEMS/Police environment advantageous
- A Base Maintenance & modification background, with strong technical knowledge of rotary aircraft airframe/engine systems.
- Demonstrable leadership skills and supervisory experience.
Qualifications for the Base Main & Installations Co-ordinator:
- EASA/CAA Part-66 B1.3 AML, ideally with EC135 and/or BK117D2 type ratings.
- Category C AML is a prerequisite
