Role: Pre-Construction Manager

Location: Bath & South West

Contract: Permanent

An opportunity has arisen for a Pre Construction Manager to work with the Bristol based regional office for a busy Tier 1 main contractor.

As the Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for all pre-construction activities, including preliminary budgets, value engineering, pre-construction schedules, definition of bid package scopes etc. Previous experience on Student Accommodation schemes, Commercial projects and Health care ranging from £10 - £60m would be beneficial for the role.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Oversee the tender process across the full range of sectors and 2 stage and single stage procurement routes
• Development of tender submissions to integrate the design team and supply chain to maximise efficiency's and deliver fully considered commitments
• Taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process and implementation of all necessary bid procedures and processes
• Ensuring that all submissions are produced to the highest level
• Developing innovation that will support the tender offerings including new digital technology and modern methods of construction
• Managing target tenders through the Preferred Bidder period to contract award

What are they looking for?

• The ability to communicate with senior people / teams
• Previous experience as the Pre-Construction Manager in a tier 1 environment
• Based in and or around the South West region
• Experienced working on projects from £10m to £60m
• The ability to guide and support project teams
• Excellent management, communication and presentation skills
