    We are currently looking to recruit a full time permanent heavy goods vehicle mechanic to work within a small team based at Brampton in Cumbria.

    We operate a fleet of Daf trucks and also carry out contracted third party maintenance work on a variety of different makes and models.

    A Class 1 C+E licence would be an advantage, but not essential.

    Key Tasks Required:

    • Carrying out routine inspections maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles & trailers to VOSA standard
    • Diagnosing and rectifying all types of HGV faults
    • Ensuring health & safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
    • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
    • Carrying out routine maintenance on third party commercial vehicles
    • Cosmetic repairs including some painting and welding if necessary
    • Mentor apprentice and provide on the job training
