- Lead the pack-house operation, overseeing production, packing, and shipping to meet customer orders accurately and on time.
- Monitor grade-outs to maximize recovery and minimize waste, implementing improvement strategies as needed.
- Coordinate size allocation with the planning department, ensuring efficient resource use and meeting customer requirements.
- Confirm daily production plans with planning, considering factors like customer demand and inventory levels.
- Ensure teams understand productivity targets and achieve line KPIs, providing support and guidance as necessary.
- Maintain the pack-house to BRC/Customer standards, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize pack-house efficiency and meet operational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive performance improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, food science, business management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in pack-house management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of BRC and customer standards, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and production management software preferred.
