Looking for a project/programme Manager who will be reporting into the Head of PMO, for a pivotal role to help deliver a sucessful programme.

Working closely with the team you will have responsibility for:

  • Defines with the Sponsor / workstream lead /PMO a baselined scope, requirements and benefit for which schedule and deliverables are understood to be delivered by the project.
  • Plans effectively around delivery constraints and optimises the plan to maximise benefits and minimise risk, considering the delivery approach, the phase or the project and key milestones and dependencies.
  • Proactively monitors execution to effectively identify risks/issues/dependencies as they arise throughout the project lifecycle. Takes ownership of critical issues and ensures resolution within agreed timescales and implements mitigating plans against identifiedrisks and issues.
  • Maintains project change control, ensuring any changes to baseline are managed through change request and all impacts are considered.
  • Promotes and takes accountability for project quality; identifies opportunities to improve delivery and oversees the governance process to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions are taken.
  • Engaging the project sponsor and stakeholders effectively.
  • Manages and reports on the project budget, acting on any variance.
  • Manages and reports project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Provides timely reports on project status, budget, risks and issues, evaluating project performance based on management information.

Profile:


  • You have experience of working with on M&A and divestment activities.
  • You possess strong business acumen and a high level of financial management together with experience of providing key management information to support the business.
  • You have credibility at all levels, with the confidence to engage and interact with a variety of stakeholders.
  • You love working with a variety of teams and stakeholders to develop a detailed understanding of requirements ensuring that you have the relevant context to deliver your responsibilities.
  • You enjoy developing and implementing new processes and procedures that add value and deliver efficiencies.
  • You enjoy being one step ahead by anticipating stakeholders needs and identifying and forecasting issues and slippages to ensure accurate planning and resolution.
  • You have excellent problemsolving and communication skills; communicating effectively with teams, senior managers and stakeholders.
  • You have the ability to identify problem areas, independently drive creative solutions and influence stakeholders to implement effect change.
  • You are a critical thinker, highly engaged and proactive.
  • You enjoy working in a multifaceted role and can adapt to evolving pace.
PMO Analyst experience

  • A solid understanding of Project management.
  • Experience working in a multilayered Programme environment.
  • Strong analytic skills including experience of turning data into insights.
  • Experience of projects using AGILE or PRINCE2 methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects.
  • An understanding of programmes within a large and complex IT environment.
  • Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills for reports and presentations.
  • Experience of facilitating large workshops / meetings.

Requirements:


  • Extensive experience and knowledge of programme and project management principles, tools and techniques.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skillsgets people to buy in and deliver to a high standard.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to influence and work effectively at all levels in an organisation.
  • Strong, objective facilitation skills to encourage collaboration, energise, and maintain participation.
