My client based in Altham, is looking for experienced machinists to join their manufacturing site on a temp-perm basis. The working hours are nights 12 hours 6pm-6am.

Training for the role will be on days and once trained you will then move onto the night shift.

Main tasks and duties:

Operating and slitter/ spooler machine.
Packing products on production lines.
Wrapping, weighing and palletising goods.
Ensuring data is accurately recorded using an in house computer system.
Following work instructions and computer specifications.
Working to a priority list.
Meeting / exceeding performance standards with regards to safety/ waste and quality.
Maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
Any other duties directed by your supervisor.

Key skills and experience:

Machine experience (essential although full training is provided).
Regular manual handling and manual dexterity.
Flexibility to work days / nights and weekends.
Numerate / literate essential.
Ability to work unsupervised.
IT competent.
Experienced in busy factory environments.
Able to actively get involved with projects.
To understand procedures.

The night shift rate also includes a weekly bonus payment if a full week is worked.
