**Job Description

  • What you'll do**Focused on supporting commercial projects, due diligence programmes and developing the cross Group and cross Marketing collaboration in support of both ferrous and nonferrous metal recycling activities.

KEY TASKS

  • Project manage due diligence and commercial projects and processes in support of Sourcing & Origination projects and offtakes in ferrous and nonferrous recycled metal
  • Provide input to and support implementation of the functional structure for recycled nonferrous and battery trade execution
  • Drive the development of trade execution capabilities that enable greater reach and solution provision up and down the value chain: e.g. consignment sales, interproduct financial and physical arbitrage & the potential of future physical tolling
  • Provide input to and manage implementation of projects that leverage other AAML solutions including ESG, blockchain, technical development and financing
  • Provide input to the development of strategies and develop indepth collaboration with internal stakeholders across AA Group towards implementing circularity opportunities within the MRT
  • Provide input to the development of strategies and project manage the requirements to secure capabilities to access recycled metals from marine decommissioning and demolition
  • Develop longterm relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, e.g. within Marketing and AA Group Technical and Sustainability and Business Development & Strategy.

**Qualifications

  • What we're looking for*
  • An undergraduate or post graduate qualification (Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience), Preferably in a technical degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Pure Science)
  • Desirable: It would be advantageous to have a post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity
  • In depth commercial negotiation and physical trading experience in recycled metals/metals and commodity trade execution processes, e.g. documentation, LCs, contracting, logistics
  • Extensive experience in developing new businesses and implementation of business processes.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Commodity Trade Risk Management (CTRM) systems and overall deal management experience in regard to origination and execution.
  • An understanding of both Physical & Financial markets preferably in the mining or commodities industry.
  • Physical logistics such as shipping, railing, trucking.
  • SME knowledge of a commodities value chain (Inc. Trade lifecycle), end to end from Production through to Shipping (Inc. Contract to cash)
  • Knowledge of Middle office, P&L (including attribution)
  • Credit Risk and appreciation for exposure
  • Global travel and work across several time zones required
