We are looking for a dedicated professional to manage the Student Referral Centre effectively and efficiently to provide a full behaviour support, inclusion and intervention system to students and staff, supporting the Academy's Behaviour and DisciplinePolicy.

Main Areas of Responsibility

The purpose of your role will be:

  • To manage the SRC effectively and efficiently to provide a full behaviour support, inclusion and intervention system to students and staff to support the Academy's Behaviour and Discipline Policy
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a mentor / course facilitator.
  • To facilitate and encourage a support / intervention experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • To share and support the Academy's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent, and, ideally an undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the academy Behaviour for Learning policy
  • Knowledge of the range of barriers to learning that students face
  • Training in child protection and safeguarding procedures
  • Two years' experience of working in an innercity school or educational establishment
  • Experience of dealing successfully with a range of behaviour issues
  • Experience of working with staff to ensure excellent behaviour for learning
  • Experience of working with families
  • Experience of supervising a group of students for detentions, referral and internal exclusion as appropriate
  • Experience of working with challenging students and finding ways in which we can meet their needs more successfully
