Barron Williams Executive Search have been retained on an exclusive basis by our client, a long-established supplier of medical equipment and services.

The business is a multi-award winning, privately-owned group which is based in the North-East of Englandand provides outstanding care in the delivery of both medical products and clinical services through the NHS and direct to the private sector.

They are proudly positioned as the leading independent providers in their field.

The team of over 100 includes clinicalcolleagues across the country and c50 in high skilled, specialist manufacturing in the North-East.

With the business set for a period of high growth, the Board are now seeking to appoint a high calibre
Group Head of Marketing to lead the implementation of a fully integrated marketing plan, aligning their brand and value propositions to business plans and core strategy.


The
Group Head of Marketing will play a key role in driving the required change in marketing operations - leading from the front in transitioning the business into a genuinely marketing-led organisation.

You will hold full responsibilityfor group company marketing activities which will drive the planned growth in sales revenues.

As well as reviewing and addressing core mission, vision and purpose, key to success will be the development of core value propositions for target market sectors.

Reporting directly into the MD and working closely with the Board, you will initially manage external marketing/PR support resource in delivering highly effective marketing services.

Key Deliverables:


  • As a key SMT member, drive the growth strategy by delivering a highquality strategic marketing support
  • Review and refine core mission, vision and value propositions to align the business with its' strategy
  • Deliver fully integrated marketing plans and effective campaigns to drive sales revenue growth
  • Work closely with commercial team colleagues to support distributor partners sales & marketing efforts
  • With the MD, develop longterm strategic marketing plans for individual Group companies
  • Manage the marketing mix for all ranges and through respective product lifecycles
  • Manage and maintain effective relationships with external marketing service providers

  • Ambitious and strategicthinking Marketing professional, seeking a pivotal role in a fastgrowth business
  • Demonstrable operational pedigree in relevant settings, with both product & service marketing experience
  • Credible at board level, able to advise and guide as well as lead on marketingrelated issues
  • Evidence of business growth achieved thru bid/tender led sales processes would be valuable
  • Business analytics and market research expertise understands the value of datadriven decision making
  • Evident marketing communications excellence, able to communicate brand and product messaging
  • Genuine team player, resilient and collaborative, coordinates well with internal & external partners
  • Market experience would ideally include working with large organisations as clients/partners (e.g, NHS)
  • Roles to date to include Head of Marketing and education to degree level (plus possible postgrad / CIM)
