    Description
    Site Engineer - Civil Works
    Location: Great Missenden

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our Earthworks team. Reporting into our Earthworks Section Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a section of our C1 North package of works including drainage, earthworks and civils.

    About our role
    Teamwork and management
    • Aid the delivery team in delivery of drainage and associated earthworks in line with the project specifications and industry standards.
    • Produce short term programmes from section programme, track progress against targets and resolve problems to mitigate delays.
    • Assist in liaising with various support teams e.g. consents, lifting, temporary works, buried services, methods, H&S and Environment to ensure relevant documentation and permits are in place for works.
    • Assist in liaising with procurement team to confirm material requirements, order materials and manage timely deliveries.
    • Assist in liaising with works managers to arrange correct resources e.g. plant and labour in a timely manner.
    • Liaise with testing labs to plan and carry out required testing, review results and action accordingly.
    • Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements and brief to the team to ensure works are carried out safely.
    • Attend meetings with various stakeholders including the client to ensure works are in line with project commitments.
    Technical and site work
    • Ensure all setting-out and quality control procedures are performed in a timely and efficient manner, so as not to impede the construction programme.
    • Carry out tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar modelling software.
    • Develop GPS machine control systems understanding.
    • Managing surveying data such as as-builts, etc.
    • Liaise with foreman/works manager to ensure any clashes on site are managed to ensure continuity of work.
    • Co-ordinate with quality/materials engineer to ensure ITP criteria are fully adhered to and assist in completion of quality documentation through site records.
    • Fulfilling Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Management Plans.
    • Ensuring that the site is maintained to the high standard expected by the management of the company.
    • Cross-referencing section programme to three weekly programme.
    What we are looking for...
    Ideally, you'll hold an HNC or a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with demonstrable experience as a Site Engineer. Setting out experience is essential as well as earthworks, utilities and drainage.
    You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be proactive, an innovator and a collaborative team worker.
