Summary of Role

To provide administrative services for Directors operating across areas within the Group and externally, to meet business and programme objectives.

The ideal person for the job will have exceptional communication skills and a meticulous attention to detail.

They will have previous experience working in a corporate environment, performing administrative duties, presentation, and report preparation, and providing support to management.


Brief summary of principle accountabilities

  • With a primary responsibility of supporting directors, provide support as directed to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished.
  • Organise, attend, and take minutes for partner organisation meetings including Board meetings, member meetings and industry advisory meetings.
  • Prepare agendas, documentation, and reports in advance of meetings and ensure agreed actions are delivered.
  • Draft and send internal communications when required to members of partner organisations.
  • Support the planning and coordination of events for stakeholders.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of research projects, reports and data collation activities.
  • Prepare presentations and reports as and when required.
  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure invoicing and payments due are processed.
  • Support social media, public affairs and other marketing activities where appropriate.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with all materials and exercise discretions when interfacing with partner organisations.
  • Act as an ambassador for partner organisations, exhibiting enthusiasm and professionalism at all times.
  • Any other duty which, from time to time, may reasonably be required to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications

  • Grade A-C GCSE in English and maths or equivalent
    (E)

Skills and experience

  • Experience in a business administration role reporting directly to senior leadership teams
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools
  • Good relationship management skills
  • Strong timemanagement skills and the ability to organise and coordinate multiple projects at once
  • Ability to deliver agreed targets
  • Experience or understanding of the apprenticeship sector
  • Ability to work as part of a small team with flexibility and adaptability required
