The Buyer Controller is a varied and fast paced role requiring meticulous attention to detail, and includes buying and managing stock, supporting and coordinating our client brand activation through forecasting, as well as planning and managing high value stock levels.


You will be commercially aware and have strong numeracy and analytical skills whilst having the ability to work to tight deadlines with a positive and proactive attitude.

You will be working closely alongside the Sales & Marketing director to identify key selling streams and growth opportunities by analysing sales data and trends.


Main Duties include:

  • Purchasing stock for gift production purposes.
  • Developing our forecast and planning processes, ensuring that we have the required stock levels to deliver our clients marketing campaigns and throughout the gifting seasons.
  • Be proactive, to grow our clients' accounts, and when negotiating and agreeing stock purchase prices with our gift components and gifting packaging suppliers.
  • In consultation with the Sales, Goodsin and Finance teams, report on stock and material requirements as required throughout our peak gifting seasons.
  • Develop relationships and work closely with other internal departments, including our Goods-In, Order Picking and Sales teams to ensure stock levels are effectively maintained and best before dates of goods are managed.
  • Work effectively with Finance to ensure invoices and credit notes relating to Confectionery supplies are processed accurately.
  • Raise purchase orders on our system for stock items, packaging and sundries to fulfil customer order/warehouse demand and maintain accurate, effective and efficient stock levels.
  • To be Commercially aware of the confectionery market, and be interested in product development.
  • Responsible in ensuring product safety, legality and quality systems are adhered to and implemented as per relevant industry standards including BRC.
